| ABOUT ORLANDO |
Located in Central Florida, Orlando is home to over 95 theme parks and attractions and is visited by 35 million people annually. The theme parks include Universal Studios, Sea World and of course, Walt Disney's four theme parks. Orlando's T.D. Waterhouse Centre is the home of the NBA's Orlando Magic, WNBA's Orlando Miracle, Arena Football's Orlando Predators and minor league hockey's Orlando Seals. This beautiful city also offers many cultural events as well. One can take in a concert by the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, visit the Harry P. Lew Botanical Gardens, the Orlando Museum of Art, the Southern Ballet Theatre, the Manella Museum or the Central Florida Zoological Park.
Shopping is plentiful with over 485 retail stores and outlets and over 150 restaurants. Downtown, on International Drive, is where you will find most of your shopping as well as three stadium style movie cinemas and three entertainment mega-plexes.
Let's not forget about Orlando's golf courses. It is home to over 30 golf courses and is considered one of the countries major meccas of golf. Not only do Tiger Woods and Arnold Palmer call Orlando their home, but the annual PGA Merchandise show and the Golf Channel do as well. Since 1998, there have been 14 new courses built in and around Orlando. According to the National Golf Foundation's latest study of travelling golfers, Florida continues to be America's most popular golf destination.
